XIII Betrayal
Time passed, and everyone’s experiences evolved.
Yllen was older, yet you could still see the girl inside her. That girl I picked up in the forest.
As time passed, the planets grew closer together as they prepared for the approaching battle. Everyone was aware.
Oebama had no conscience; he was hunting down every creature, attacking every corner, and pursuing those who did not wish to follow him. Many of them had vanished. He didn’t believe in the laws of nature or life, so he chased without fear of punishment.
Meanwhile, Yllen kept smiling, giving each person a little of herself without leaving anyone out. Life smiled at us all; our concerns were vanished, but we knew something else was on the horizon.
Although the prophets stated that Yllen would save us, we knew deep down that many of us would die in battle and that it would be difficult. Some had reservations, but they were fighting against their absence of faith.
As time went on, the number of Oebama’s supporters increased significantly. I was saddened about it. But Obama was quite astute, particularly when it came to small-town leaders and people.
When Yllen got home from school one day, she immediately headed to her bedroom. I sensed something was wrong when I heard Yllen cry. When I knocked on the door, she just said, “I need to be alone.” I was concerned, but I knew I’d be there to support her no matter what happened.
When Yllen came from her bedroom, she hugged me and confessed her fear of what was to come. I just saw the girl again; she was young and enjoyed life and her friends as well. Her mission was to save the world and make everyone happy. She never stopped smiling. I imagine it was that element of humanity that she brought with her to earth. I felt for her, but I knew it was only for a short time; whatever had to happen will happen.
From one moment to the next, Yllen showed me a dragon, the one that was betraying us, but at the same time I couldn’t see it properly. It was frustrating and quite painful. At the same time, I understood Yllen’s sadness and fear. Maybe it was someone we knew; there were dragons that weren’t close to us, but we knew them, especially because they constantly came to the house to have conversations with Yllen.
When I served dinner to Yllen, she took one of my wings and took me back to another world—a world that I didn’t know existed, and I saw fire and many humans—humans and living beings who were drowning in suffering; I didn’t understand what it was. Yllen looked at me and mentally told me; those are those who will not survive, those who decided to betray the truth, who, despite knowing that Oebama was lying, continued with the lies that Oebama was announcing.
When I opened my eyes, we were back at home, with our dinner served. Yllen was quiet, so I kept quiet and waited for her to calm down. It was challenging to see Yllen behaving differently; it was Yllen, the girl who picked up from the deep nature.
When we finished dinner, I told her. You know you are going to win this battle, right? She looked at me and said, I know many things that from today it will hurt me to accept and confront, but it is part of what I came to do.
I understood at that moment that Yllen was taking in the suffering of the future, the conflict, and the approaching event. I will never question Yllen’s strength since I trusted her. She was significant to more than just me. Many people were following her messages.
Every day, the elder dragons came home to see Yllen; they were times of learning and unity. Species from other planets picked Yllen up from school; humans loved Yllen. She was and is our savior. She rescued me; those inactive dragon powers were coming back to us; everything was going well.
When Yzarc and Rama arrived, Yllen went to Rama and told him to take her as high as he could go. Rama took her so high into the heavens that the heavens came alive when they felt Yllen. Yllen screamed so loudly that the heavens opened even more; Rama didn’t know she could go so far as she had gone before. But he trusted Yllen; when Yllen finished screaming, her tears fell uncontrollably and her skin turned blue.
Rama stopped flying and stayed floating in the sky, while Yllen told him what to do, but Yllen just hugged Rama and said, Let’s go home.
When she returned, Rama took Yllen and took her to her bedroom. Yllen slept, and the next day she woke up very late.
Yllen wanted to see all the dragons and told her to go to the mountain very early. We all went, and she told everyone that there was a traitor and that this traitor would bring much sadness and misfortune, as the betrayal would affect the battle, but that she will do everything in her power to protect us all.
My question was, is she revealing a weakness? Are we going to lose this battle, and everything we have learned is false? It was then that she said. Do not think of anything that is not happening. United, we will be unbreakable.
All the dragons shouted; long live Yllen! Long live Yllen forever!
Everyone was commenting—who among us would be the traitor?
It was difficult to figure out; we were all devoted to Yllen, and I couldn’t believe one of us would betray her.
When we returned home, Yllen was still silent. Even so, I prepared something for her to eat, and at the same time I asked her, How did she feel? She just put her hand on my face, and I felt a lot of pain. It was a pain I had never felt, but she told me this is just a small part of what I feel; no one could bear this pain. But I am Yllen, the God of all of you. And I have to feel and live this experience, because it will make me stronger.
The earth and the planets at that moment released a bolt of lightning into the sky; each one of them and I only observed how powerful Yllen looked; she would be in front of us; she was always present, but we never saw her or we did not want to see; she had to come and show us her power. I felt ashamed because sometimes I had doubted her majesty, but at the same time I felt happy because my heart always had room for Yllen. My ancestors always told me about the right path, and despite the disappointments, sadness, and blows I received, I always believed that there was someone who would rescue us, in the midst of my doubts.
That someone was Yllen, our God.
