VII Blue
Yllen has a few days off before starting school. The students are on an expedition, and Zil’s advice was to keep Yllen at home until they returned. That way, Yllen could settle into the school properly.
I decided to take her to the beach to show her how beautiful the sea is. To get to the beach we had a long trip to make, the beach I knew was hidden, as well as many places that the dragons had.
When we were in the sky, Rama and Yzarc could be seen flying in the direction of Modgnik. They had an event going on, and it was their turn to support the kids and see the people we had met one day in Modgnik.
At times, Yllen requested that I rise into the sky and out until I could see the cosmos; having the capacity to fly and travel wherever she wished was a gift from my ancestors and Yllen. I eventually realised why Yllen didn’t want to attend school.
We were on our way to the beach and had to pass through Elppa, a completely blue city.
Elppa was a small city with little people; they had different powers from us, such as the capacity to see into the future and a different bond with nature, and their blue color was beautiful and unique.
When I was younger, my father would regularly take me to the Elppas, saying that they had a positive influence on me since they were kind and compassionate.
When I arrived in Elppa, I was surprised to see how empty the town was. Just the surrounding trees and the abandoned houses.
Yllen looked at me and wondered what was happening. I didn’t know what to answer.
Despite her powers, I believe Yllen wanted to be just like any other girl.
We wandered about and saw that everything was closed, and smoke was still rising from the chimneys of the houses.
The animals had disappeared; everything was strange.
From one moment to the next, Yllen starts running; there was a path, and she just disappeared. I started to fly and see from the heights what was happening, and Yllen was heading to the biggest house.
And there was the entire city, those Elppas, who were chanting and calling me from the ground.
while hugging Yllen!
They picked her up and shouted, Yllen, Yllen!
I went down, and there was a big bonfire. The Elppas were the same size as Yllen, and I internally smiled.
There was food, music, and children surrounding Yllen.
The leader of the Elppa came to me, a blue leader with a great personality; his name was Enaj.
Enaj placed his hand on one of my wings, closed his eyes, and smiled.
While Yllen was running with the little Elppas, back and forth.
A group of them brought me food and something to drink. Enaj told me, Are you going to the beach?
I replied, Yes, we are heading to the beach.
Enaj smiled and, at the same time, looked a little worried.
He told me that a few weeks ago, the beach had been attacked by Oebama followers.
Many Elppas and other cities were at a festival on the beach, and those individuals, Nivlek and Eoj, appeared with others at their command.
I became overcome with fear when I understood that Yllen was getting closer to danger every day.
Enaj began to tell me what had happened. Elppas, Modgnik, and others were very afraid.
Nivlek and Eoj intended to take the children to Oebama and make them their servants, but we’ve been preparing for days like these for centuries. And everyone was able to run away, but we had no idea or explanation for how Oebama’s followers discovered spots that no one was supposed to know about.
Enaj looked at me, and he told me that he feared that there was a dragon that was a follower of Oebama.
I immediately said, No, it’s not possible. No dragon follows Oebama. But Enaj did not answer.
When I started to recap, the secret and hidden places had been attacked.
I was terrified of what could happen. And I thought to myself, were they attacking us already?
Enaj told me that it was not time yet, but that Oebama was impatient since he could sense Yllen.
Yllen was our savior, but Oebama was unaware that she was a girl, even though Nivlek and Enoj had already faced her. Because they were not particularly bright, they were simply followers.
While Enaj told me about the new worlds that were emerging, I watched Yllen play with the little Elppas and wondered if this was how she wanted to live without so much responsibility on her shoulders.
Enaj looked at me and told me that Yllen is more than just a girl; she is the savior of our worlds, from the one who only wanted to destroy every being on Earth and any other world for the sake of vanity.
Enaj entered my mind and explained to me that, while no one could hear us here, Oebama was everywhere. This was not because he possessed power like Yllen, but rather because he had followers, and among those followers were creatures and dragons who followed him.
We are unable to stop Oebama; he has been waiting for his chance to rule over all of us for ages. But his repulsive soul is only making him make mistakes, which he won’t notice until the day of his final. You don’t need to worry about Yllen yet, because she’s happy and needs this time to grow and get stronger.
All of a sudden, Enaj approached me and asked me to step over to see the Elppa leaders, who were diminutive in stature but extremely powerful. I was greeted by everyone.
One of them remembered me when I was a child; he smiled and told me. It’s me, Otit. That young man brought you to the depths of nature, and in that moment, I remembered seeing a different world of nature; it was different from what everyone else sees—that nature where they had colors no one had seen before, that nature where they spoke their own languages. I returned to that period, to the great warmth that my father nurtured in me.
Otit hugged me and welcomed me back.
When it was time to leave and say goodbye to the Elppas, Yllen had painted herself blue. She wanted to be an Elppa; she wanted to be part of the beautiful nature that they had.
I looked with great joy, and Yllen screamed, We go to the beach! All the Elppas laughed, and one of the young Elppas asked us if they could take the little ones too. Enoj gave me his consent, and I said yes.
Yllen called the children, and that young man, called Ylliw, brought a carriage led by an Elfaig. Elfaigs were beings similar to us, little dragons, in blue in color with the ability to become invisible—four of them with a carriage, Ylliw told us—that the Elfaigs were fast and happy species.
The little Elppas got on the float, and Yllen looked at me, and I said, Go!
Enoj and the leaders smiled.
I started flying, and the Elppas were by my side in the carriage. I only heard Yllen’s laughter. With the little Elppas. Ylliw communicated with me mentally and thanked me for taking Yllen to meet them. I just said, You Elppas are fantastic!
We were reaching the beach, and suddenly Rama and Yzarc were there, with the Modgnik children and those humans, with games and surfboards.
Yllen was happy; all the little ones entered the sea with the surfboards, balls, and inflatables.
Rama, Yzarc, and I began to flap our wings to encourage waves, and everyone was happy. Ylliw was swimming, playing with the little ones, and throwing the balls everywhere. While everyone was happy and having the most wonderful time.
Rama, Yzarc, and I went to the sands, and I began to share with them about the Elppas. Rama and Yzarc were Elppa’s fans! We all loved the Elppas!
From one moment to the next, everything became dark. I called Yllen and all the little ones. Ylliw brought everyone, including the smallest one. Rama and Yllen dug a hole in the sand and stood in front. The little ones entered the hole; we didn’t know what was happening. Ylliw climbed up to my loin, and the Elfaig were behind the hole, protecting the little ones.
I saw Nivlek and Eoj again in the heavens, but this time, they had wings, and those wings were black and large. Their eyes were red, and they wanted the little ones. I was willing to give my life; no one would touch the little ones.
At that moment, Ylliw took the carriage with the Elfaigs, went against Nivlek and Eoj, and threw blue dust that turned them blind. The Elfaigs spat out their wings; the wings melted; they fell into the sea, and Ylliw threw lightning at the sea with his gaze. Nivlek and Enoj came out of the sea and looked at me, smiled, and disappeared.
Ylliw came towards us with the Elfaigs, and Yllen ran out and hugged Ylliw.
I was surprised that Yllen didn’t use her powers this time; it was the first time I saw her as a vulnerable child, although I consciously knew she wasn’t.
The little ones came out of the hole and hugged Ylliw, and then I realised that Ylliw was that guardian of the small creatures, that guardian that our ancestors mentioned.
The sun and blue skies returned, and the children looked at us, and we all entered the sea to continue with our plan to enjoy the sea and our day.
It was the first time I used a surfboard! and very excited, Yllen came up with me to ride the waves that Rama and Yzarc were producing with her wings.
The fear of Oebama’s followers was there.
I asked myself,Who is it? Who is it? Who is giving you information, evil Oebama?
