XIV. Xiorc

My sister Xiorc appeared at Yllen School. I was very surprised, as she hasn’t let me know, but it was a surprise to Yeln. Xiorc took Yellen home and stayed a few days with us.

Yllen loved Xiorc. My little sister is very special. Always creative and very enthusiastic about everything. She never liked the idea of fighting with Oebama or believing a lot in prophecies; she just wanted to live every day as she came. But she believed in Yllen. Both got along very well. And Yllen sometimes took her to special places, and Xiorc always returned with hope that everything was going to happen soon.

The only thing about Xiorc that I didn’t understand was how frequently she disappeared, just saying that she was going to see the mountains, which were home to creatures that no one wanted to see. Xiorc was both mysterious and extremely gifted. I never understood why she had more talents than I did; even her powers were superior to mine, and her tongues were immaculate. But the truth was that she had a strong belief in herself and was certain of herself.

Both Xiorc and Yllen were playing and talking in various languages in the garden. They played and competed with each other over the number of words they knew. Xiorc was extremely happy with Yllen, but she also understood who she was and what abilities she possessed, I think!. Xiorc enjoyed flying with Yllen and creating games. She constantly said Yllen took her to places she couldn’t go. Both discovered different planets and animals, and his adventures were unique; they frequently took place in difficult situations, including meeting the elderly dragons, who wanted to see Xiorc at regular social events but Xiorc did not like it.

They were playing with insects and talking with the ants in the garden one day. The ants were able to communicate with both, which made the whole situation hilarious. Xiorc was a large dragon, but while she was with Yllen, she became a child. Both were visited by the bees. I never realised how unique Yllen and Xiorc were with insects until now.

A bluebird came to visit us, and to be honest, I had no idea what was going on in the garden after the bees and ants situation. Yllen was serious, and Xiorc was concerned. The blue bird left when I walked outside to look into it, and Yllen ran straight inside her bedroom. Unsure of what to say, Xiorc mumbled and went into the home. She said that she had to go, and I questioned her about it in lots of ways, but she just said, “It was only a bird, Iznil!”

Yllen was crying when I saw her, so I rushed to find Xiorc. I’m not sure where she went, and I knew it would be hard to find her. When I asked Yllen what was going on, she looked at me and kept silent. She didn’t want to speak and only wanted to be in bed. I called Rama e Yzarc, and they both helped me in looking for Xiorc.

Xiorc was among the mountains of the unwanted, feeding both strange creatures and humans. They were the humans and beings from other planets who were not loved. When I faced Xiorc and asked her again what was going on, she simply answered. I don’t have to say anything—to you or anyone. It’s just a matter of time.

I was unaware that it was happening. Those people and beings were bitter to me. I made a call to Yzarc in our dragon tongues. Xiorc quickly became one of Oebama’s followers, but it was not her; I had no idea what was going on, and suddenly she smiled sarcastically.

Xiorc said, “And you thought I was going to leave you alone with the chosen.” You were so naive that you were unaware of my true identity all this time. At that moment, my blood felt broken and cold. I just wanted to know where my sister was. Gradually, this creature was no longer viewed as Xiorc; instead, it was Oebama, with that smile and those eyes filled with malice and hate.

How could it be that Oebama had been with Yllen all this time and that he was always in my house? Oebama told me, “Nobody knows what powers one can acquire while keeping your followers beneath your feet.” I believe we’ve been together for a while; fooling Yllen was the easiest part. Has Yllen lost the majesty that everyone talks about? Oh, Iznil, such a large, awkward creature. I kept begging for Xiorc; he started laughing and said, “Your sister has been an enormous help to me and my world; learn from her to gain her powers, the powers that you lack. I’ve been in your house and spent time with Yllen and heard those bizarre tales countless times. Yllen knows who I am now, and she might not be the God she professes to be.”

I was aware of the dragon’s betrayal at the moment. I simply had an inexplicable agony. It was true that Xiorc was always unique and the dragon that everyone aspired to have as a leader; she has abilities that I did not.

But Xiorc wasn’t there, so Oebama just used her body. One thing was real: Oebama was not as deformed as his followers; he had a human body and, surprising enough, appeared kind.

While I was looking for my sister, Oebama simply grinned with arrogance. I didn’t want to believe it; I couldn’t believe it. Abruptly, a mysterious shadow appears in the distance; those humans and creatures were looking at me with disgust, and when I got to that small tunnel in the midst of the mountain, I noticed Xiorc, who was crying.

She told me desperatly that Oebama was friendly, and he started talking about the God who would arrive. He was thrilled to see a girl named Yllen at your house. I didn’t realise at the time who Yllen was. Since then, Oebama has become obsessed with learning more about Yllen and you. And he gradually transformed into myself. I didn’t want this, but Oebama lied to me. I slowly showed my abilities to him. Oebama was taking them away without me realising. I started to feel weak and stopped flying gradually. I’ve been skeptical, and now I’ve betrayed you as a sister and everyone. I am sorry.

Xiorc appeared weak and unable to fly. At that point, I carried her, left the mountains, and returned home with Xiorc. I called Rama e Yzarc with our dragon noises; both arrived home immediately and stayed with Xiorc.

I went to Yllen’s bedroom, and she was there, with her golden armor, with her sword, and with her gold shield. Yllen was the goddess who showed me the first time I met. Yllen smiled and told us, “Everything is written; Oebama is unaware of what I know. He can’t read your mind; he can pretend to be anyone, but he can’t read minds or predict the future; he might believe he can, but he can’t.”

Xiorc had not betrayed us; actually, Oebama had manipulated her mind to take everything he could. My younger sister was fragile and isolated from the world right now.

She didn’t want to speak, but at the same time she did. It was hard; she felt treacherous, but she wasn’t. She kept asking herself, When did this happen? Am I weak?

Over the years, Oebama has inherited the powers of those who have had them since birth. However, Oebama abused the powers of others to manipulate everyone’s minds; he was capable of persuasion and manipulation. Oebama’s supporters were the source of his developing power.

We were surprised, but at the same time we knew we had Yllen. She always knew what was coming; she was our God; she was always our leader. Yllen was prepared, and she loved everyone.

Our God was Yllen.
